Wireless Protocol Advisor by Agilent Technologies is a protocol analysis and troubleshooting application designed for wireless device development and verification. When used with compatible Agilent wireless communications test sets and network emulation hardware, it captures, decodes, and visualizes Layer 3 signaling and call flows in real time across major 2G and 3G technologies, including GSM/GPRS/EDGE, W‑CDMA/HSPA, cdma2000, and 1xEV‑DO. It helps engineers diagnose interoperability issues, validate procedures, and accelerate root-cause analysis during integration, IOT, and QA.

Key capabilities include filterable message traces with readable cause-code decoding, intuitive call flow views, KPI summaries, event-based triggers, and automated logging and report generation. It supports multi-session logging, handover analysis, and export to common formats for collaboration and offline processing. Scriptable control and remote APIs enable repeatable regression runs and integration into automated test setups. By tightly coupling with Agilent instruments, Wireless Protocol Advisor delivers consistent, lab-based visibility into device–network signaling—shortening debug cycles and speeding time to market.

Features and supported standards may vary based on licensed options and connected hardware.
